Community Support Line/Care Coordination Program (DPH)
The division for Perinatal, Early Childhood, and Special Health Needs’ ( 800-882-1435)
toll-free statewide Community Support Line offers information , technical
assistance and resources for families with children with special health care
needs and providers serving these families. These resource specialists are
available Monday through Friday 9 am to 5 pm.

Make a Wish
Grants wishes for children with life threatening illnesses in Massachusetts
and Rhode Island. There are three offices in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Wishes are granted for medically eligible children from 2 and a half up to 18
years old. A medical professional or parent can refer a child.

Massachusetts Technology Assistance Resource Team (MASSTART)
MASSTART is a free collaborative service that helps families and schools plan
for the health care and safety of children and adolescents with special health
needs, especially those assisted by medical technology. By ensuring safety in
school for children with complex needs, MASSTART supports the educational goal
of placement in the least restrictive setting.

Medicalalert
Providing live 24/7 emergency medical information and identification services
for members and their families. Kid Smart membership is a special service that
ensures children and teenagers 17 and under with no know conditions or those
with medical conditions, allergies, or special needs, are protected with our
live 24/7 emergency response, identification and family notification services.

Pediatric Palliative Care Network
Families caring for children with life-limiting illnesses face difficult and
sometimes lonely challenges. The goal of the Pediatric Palliative Care Network
is to improve the quality of life of the entire family through its support and
services. The Pediatric Palliative Care Network serves the unmet physical,
emotional and social and spiritual needs of children in Massachusetts with
life-limiting illnesses. Our services are provided at no cost to children 18
years old or younger who have life-limiting illness.
